Amsterdam Hop-On Hop-Off Segway Tour
We took the standard tour and made it into an unforgettable experience. Visit some of Amsterdam’s best local hotspots and taste your way through the city on this unique hop-on hop-off Segway tour.
The Segway Experience starts from our headquarters in the center of Amsterdam, where we wait for you 15 minutes before your departure. With the helmets safely strapped on and the liability waiver signed, we go through the safety rules and regulations and get you comfortable with the Segway.
2. Dam Square:
After rigorous training to start our tour safely, we hit the easy flat bike path directly to Dam Square. Here, you learn about the heart of the city and get a deeper insight into why this is the city’s central meeting point.
You get to enjoy a view of the Royal Palace, the New Church, and the National Monument. We glide by Beursplein, where the first stock exchange was invented.
3. Tony’s Chocolonely:
After Dam Square, we go to our next stop, Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate experience. Sample some amazing chocolate bars with flavors like caramel and sea salt plus other funky combinations and find out the story behind this disruptive Dutch brand.
4. Brouwerij ‘t IJ:
Craft beer tasting time! Did you know Amsterdam invented craft beer before the hipsters claimed it?
From this point, we take a grand tour around the city, going to places that are not typically frequented by tourists but that you have the opportunity to see with local Amsterdammer, who gives you an idea of what it’s like to be a true local. At this point, we visit a windmill, and inside we enjoy a tasting of delicious homemade beer.
After our excellent windmill visit and beer tasting, our next stop is one of the oldest and most genuine local markets in Amsterdam. At this point, you get to meet our illustrious poffertjes guru, Oom Tom.
Oom is a fun ex-chef who is passionate about the typical Dutch delicacy, the poffertje. Don’t confuse it with some little dry pancake; this is pure MAGIC! You cannot leave Amsterdam without enjoying this local delicacy.
6. Royal Coster Diamonds
On our last stop, you get to know first-hand one of the most recognized diamond companies worldwide: Royal Coster Diamonds, one of the oldest traditional diamond polishing companies in the world. Our Segway tour ends here, where you are welcome to see how this company has been recognized by international royalty as the go-to place for their jewelry.
Around this area, there is a lot more to explore by foot, including Vondelpark, the antique district, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum, or the Rodeo Drive of the Netherlands, P.C. Hooftstraat. You can also walk five minutes further to the Leidseplein area, where there are fast food restaurants and lots of pubs and coffee shops!
We assure you that, by the end of this tour, you become an expert in the culture of Amsterdam.
